The Montessori Method
Self-correction and self-assessment are an integral part of the Montessori classroom approach.  As they mature, the students learn to look critically at their work. They also begin to recognize, correct, and learn from their mistakes.
Given the freedom and support to question, to probe deeply, and to make connections, Montessori students become confident, enthusiastic, and self-directed learners.  They are able to think critically, work collaboratively, and act boldly—a skill set necessary for success in the 21st century.
The OCMC Experience

OCMC children are taught by a highly talented staff of instructors with extensive experience and proven results.  The children are loved and challenged to push past their comfort zones at a pace that is individually appropriate for each child.

Through individual and group work, OCMC children learn patience, focus, and tolerance.  OCMC families function as a community, reinforcing the Montessori spirit both inside and outside of the formal educational environment.

About  Us
We are a group of parents who came together to ensure that our children and those in our community have access to a high-quality, affordable and results-oriented Montessori education.  Our commitment to our children and their education is our driving force.  All children need and crave the opportunity to learn and demonstrate what they know.  We strive to ensure that we afford all children that opportunity.
OCMC provides a safe and nurturing environment that allows our children to be themselves, progress at their own pace, and function in a larger community.
OCMC children are part of a close and caring community. The multi-age learning groups model the family structure: older students mentor younger children so they feel supported and gain confidence about the challenges ahead.
Instructors model respect, loving kindness, and a belief in peaceful conflict resolution.  Beginning at an early age, Montessori students develop order, coordination, concentration, and independence.  The room design, materials, and daily routines support the individual learner’s ability to engage in self- correction and self-assessment.
